Cookie Policy

In short: this website sets no cookies of its own. There is no advertising, no analytics and no cross-site tracking. The only browser storage we use is a single entry remembering whether you chose English or ಕನ್ನಡ.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser, usually to remember something between visits. Related technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage do a similar job.
2. Cookies we set
None. This website does not set any cookie of its own, and does not run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other analytics or advertising tracker.
3. Browser storage we use
We use one item of browser storage, and it is strictly functional:

This stores only the value en or kn. It contains nothing personal, never leaves your browser, and is not used to identify or track you. Because it is strictly necessary for a feature you asked for, it does not require consent.
4. Third-party services
Some parts of the site are served by third parties, which may set their own cookies or receive your IP address:
- Google Fonts: the site's typefaces are loaded from Google's servers, so Google receives your IP address. Google states that it does not use Google Fonts requests to create advertising profiles.
- Google reCAPTCHA: used on the enquiry form to block automated spam. reCAPTCHA sets its own cookies and analyses browsing signals to tell humans from bots. It runs on the contact page and is necessary to protect the form from abuse.
- Netlify: hosts the site and may use strictly necessary cookies for security and load balancing.
We do not control these cookies. Their use is governed by the providers' own policies.
5. Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and clear site data at any time. Because we set no cookies of our own, blocking them will not break this website; at most, the site will stop remembering your language choice. Blocking reCAPTCHA may prevent the enquiry form from submitting.
6. If this changes
If GPF & FISSOT later adds analytics, embedded video, maps, social media feeds, a payment gateway, or any other service that sets non-essential cookies, this policy will be updated before that service goes live, and a cookie consent banner will be introduced where the law requires one. We will not add advertising or cross-site tracking cookies without saying so here.
